The plant is on the east side of the temperate/cool greenhouse. It gets full sun until about 10am in the morning. The rest of the day Lycaste virginalis is in the shade. Nighttime temperatures never drop below 10 degrees. During growth there is fertilizer at a concentration of approximately 600 μS/cm with each watering. In the spring there is some Osmocote in the substrate. After the end of the shoot in late autumn, the pronounced rest period begins. There is hardly any water until flowering in spring.
